Hi my name is Rachel Kielsky,

I am running for Maricopa County Assessor. We can all agree that we pay too much in taxes.  No one is well served by the system the way it is, with spending out of control, and the politicos looking for more of your money to spend.

The first Income Tax in this country was 3% and people were outraged.  It was quickly repealed.  Today we live under a burden of a myriad of taxes.  While the Assessor, has no control over the others, she would have the ability to affect a change in the amount of property tax we pay.

The government is not a frugal spender, and I think we can make better choices about what to do with our money, than they can.  We need to send a message to the establishment that this is not the way to run things.  If I ran my business the way they run government I would quickly be out of business.

My opponent thinks that minor adjustments are enough, but in today's economy we need to take a more drastic action.

I have experience as a small business owner and business woman for many years. My most important qualification, though, is the desire to see taxes reduced, so that homeowners and businesses can have the money they need for the projects they have in mind.

As a homeschooling mom, small business owner and Libertarian, I understand how to effect that change.
